Mentoring and steady adult support

Promise Works uses volunteer adult mentors to support young people, broadly from ages 10 to 25, who may be dealing with difficult or troubled circumstances.

The mentoring relationship is intended to provide consistent adult support and help young people build confidence and stability over time.

Health and wellbeing beyond the hospital

The project reflects the League's wider community focus alongside its support for Chard Community Hospital. Health and wellbeing can be influenced by connection, confidence, relationships and having someone dependable to turn to.

The £600 contribution is one example of charitable support being used in partnership with another local organisation.
